*This may turn out to be more like a rant just to let everyone know.*
.
I have been looking at youtube for the past few hours watching "training" videos. Although some are good others are just wrong on many levels of education for both the horse and the person. Some of these "trainers" promote things that are quite dangerous. Others also teach ways that are confusing and bad for the horse. Many of the "trainers" that I have watched have a few things in common. One thing that keeps sticking out is the round pen work. While working the horse. The horse will show all signs asking to join up, but the person keeps turning them away, then when they want the horse to come to them to move on in their "training" they stop the horse and moves to them to clip the lead. On a few other videos the "trainer" is not clear as to what they are asking the horse to do and in turn the horse gets punished. There is also a "trainer" that says they specialize in working with aggressive horses, their concept is "If you have an aggressive horse you need to be more aggressive then he is." In a few of this persons videos they promote hitting and harming a horse that can in fact if done by someone else could ether land that person in the ICU or be killed.

Now that his post probably makes no seance. I wish there was something that could be done to have the dangerous videos taken down.

that's the problem with the internet - anyone can put anything on it - the good, the bad & the ugly!
you can always leave comments at the bottom of the video & would advise you to do so & explaining why you disagree with the method used. YouTube don't have that control over the content posted.
Not all Round Pen "trainers" are Monty Roberts!!!!!
You are so right Beryl, I often despair at what is shown and as a dog trainer too my heart almost stops at the horror that ordinary people engage in! However, there is also a lot of good stuff out there that is sooo useful - its a matter of sifting eh? ;-) I share your view that we should make our feelings known but the most important thing is to say WHY we like/don't like; it's not enough to say "it's cruel". I see too many videos/comments proclaiming that "it's just not nice" coupled with dreary/heart rending music that does nothing to re-educate people and diminishes the worthy points trying to be made and does not offer an alternative.
Absolutely, Explain WHY you consider it wrong & if possible give a viable alternative.
