Should TOP pole training be taught on my trained five year old? He moves away from pressure, but he's never received TOP pole training.

Hi & welcome. Yes, it would be a positive option even though your horse moves off pressure already. Following the Top Pole method may well help your horse to become more sensitive & move off pressure more easily. Worst case scenario: your horse looks at you as if to say ' Human, I already know how to do that! Please teach me a new experience - learning is exciting "! Either way you will benefit from the experience & can maybe help a less well trained horse in future. Good luck. Cheers, Jo.
