i have a lovely chestnut 5yr racehorse she has come off the track and come to me for re-training as a riding horse she is lovely natured and very sweet at home she is very laid back rides out on her own schools nicely but the problem is when she goes to other yards to use there arenas she squeals the entire time rears and naps we are just trying to work out if its leaving home or if its the surface she does not like as she was a grass track racehorse if anyone has any ideas as well it would be nice to hear from you

hi, part of the untracking process is to allow the fresh off the track horse 8-12 weeks of turn-out to re-adjust to a new life. then groundwork begins. then riding. she probably just needs time. good luck!
