measuring the overstride?

Hello! 100 lessons completed 150 lessons completed 200 lessons completed 250 lessons completed 300 lessons completed

Hi all,
Has anyone else out ther measured their horse's overstride.
I took STAR for nice brisk walk this morning for a good 15 minutes and had her paddock all ready, nice and clear.
We walked up and down the field and then entered the clean part of her paddock in a straight line.
I then put her in her stall so she would not destroy the footprints.
I measured from her front to back hoof-prints.
I could not believe my eyes. I had my husband come out to see as well.
I then watched the video's to be sure I was doing it correctly.
She measured from 27 inches to 35 inches, depending on the turns. She is also bilaterlly symetrical.
Is this possible.
I have written to Monty to ask this question, wow.
Star is only 13 and 1/2 hands high and weighs 864 pounds, not bad for a little girl.
I have been running her and walking her for two years, she is very loose and elligent.
Let me know guys what your horse is doing,OK.
