Long lining or Lunging using a Pessoa? My horse has no muscle (mainly fat) on his hind quarters so need to build that up. I've found using a Pessoa really encourages him to use his hind quarters more, rather than resting on his forehand.... I've lunged him with Pessoa but was wondering if I should long line him with Pessoa? Suggestions please :-)

The Pessoa has its advantages, but I never use it myself, because every time the horse moves a hindleg it will get a pull at the mouth.
That said, I don't see any reasons why you shouldn't be able to long line with a Pessoa.
.
Other ways to build up hind quarters is working him over (elevated) poles on the ground, climbing, and lots and lots of transitions and half-halts. All these exercises can be done under rider as well as long lining.
