I am training a horse that has about 10 rides on him. He is doing very well but lately has gotten into a habit of stopping at the arena gate and turning around rather suddenly to face the gate. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with this problem?

Have you watched Walter wont go forward? It might help.
My horses was having gate problem. So at the end of ever ride I would open the gate make her walk out and back in a couple times. Then get off of her in the area after she did a half way good job at going in the gate. I think she started thinking ever time she was in the area she had to work so don't want to go in the area she thought I don't have to work.... now that we would just walk in a couple time get off call it quite love on her she now love the gate... and watch Walter won't go forward it helps a lot give get great idea. I got his rope he uses in those videos. Love it works great really help when my mare lockes up. And it dose not hurt at all I tryed it on my self.....hope this helps..
