“Inspirational!”

Kelly Marks and her Team are back for her popular May Masterclasses across the South. A natural teacher who generously shares her passion and knowledge with humour, these Masterclasses promise to leave you inspired and equipped with new skills to try with your own horse. There will be appearances from Kelly’s own horses, including the celebrity American Pie, and youngster Corky; showing their various stages of training, with ridden demonstrations of how you can increase your riding enjoyment and adventure!

Kelly Marks is protégé of Monty Roberts and trusted teacher of his non-violent methods. She has written three top selling Horsemanship books; Perfect Manners, Perfect Partners and Perfect Confidence and stars on the Horsemanship Essentials series on Horse and Country TV. Kelly's ridden career includes Championships in Racing and Show Jumping and in 2009 Royal Windsor Pro-Am TREC Champion. This wealth of real life experience enables the audience to see how understanding horse psychology can make enormous difference in practical terms.

Aiming for a fun and informative evening that will suit younger people as well as adults, there will be opportunities for audience participation, and also expert displays and presentations in the IH Shopping Village before the main demonstration starts at 7.30 pm. Watch Kelly work with different local ‘problem’ horses, and see for yourself how she works through their various challenges, be it spooking, refusing, fear issues, biting or ... who knows?! Perhaps you have a horse that you would like Kelly to help? If so, contact the Intelligent Horsemanship Office on 01488 71300

Hello!

Hi Kelly, My name is Jenny and I have a 'project horse' you may be interested in having a look at.
She is a Cleavland Bay x Thouroughbred. Kitty is 12 years old and was broken at the ripe old age of 7. since then she has had at least two owners that I know of, who have jumped on her and made her go. I am not as experienced as her previous owners and she has reverted back to her basic wild instincts. Kitty came to me because she broke my fathers ribs (repeatedly), and I am writing this with an ice pack on my foot from our last 'episode' together.
I have tried the number on your blogg thing but got sent to your web site and ticket line.
I feel you could have great fun with Kitty and also help me redescover how fun she can be.
My contact emai is sgtdrillpig@hotmail.com and I am based in Southampton.

Hello!

I live in the Highlands of Scotland with no trailer - otherwise I would have loved to do some courses.... I am obviously studyin via this University but I have a very clever horse with loads of trick up his sleeves to keep me on my toes and would love to work with him in front of professionals who can help ME improve US. People who won't tell me to whip it out of him. You would be surprised (or maybe not) how many people tell me they love Monty and his principles when I talk about being violent and pain free in my treatment with Chazbo but then turn around and suggest to whack him or thump him one to get him to hack out alone. He is my 1st horse and 1,5 years on I still cant hack out alone but that is because my learning curve was very steep and I lost my nerve completely and hit a depression after I got so scared of his rearing = not because Chazbo can't learn or the methods are wrong..- he is clever and we are getting on better all the time. I am learning the Language - he already knows it... but if you find a place to visit ads give a course in the Highlands - yes please :-)

Hello!

Hello Sasafras - thank you and here's to us :-)
My boy and I are making good progress and when I get him in the field I don't need a head collar - he follows me in, when I run he trots, when I walk he walks. Its a fun game to speed up and slow down with him next to me and our mutual trust is growing all the time.. Wishing you loads of fun and confidence with your horse. :-) x
