I really would like to take the certification courses for a future career, but I don't have my own horse. Do you have to own one?

No. I started my path at MRILC without a horse-didn't get one until after I'd done a few courses in Solvang. I'm hoping to go back in the fall for my Advanced Exam. I think you will want one, or at least one to lease, as having your own on call is invaluable for practice purposes. I wish you luck!
thankyou julie :)
Hi,
I do not have my own horse. I leased one for three years which really helped me learn things.
I recently completed the Introductory Course at Flag is Up. It is amazing and if you are a horse addict now - just wait until you take the course. It is addicting. I hope to go back for examzs in September. I am very lucky in that I have many frinds with horses who are willing to let me do join ups and long lining.
You posted a response to me about Uno- which I thank you again for because I went to lesson two of join up as you suggested and you are right it was what i needed to hear. I am waiting to see Uno again a few more calm horses and I will go back to him.
Good luck to you. if you can get to Flag is Up it is great- It took me three years to save the money including plane fare and hotel costs.
It was worth it!!! I highly recommend it.
Take care

richandi thanks. Don't really know anyone that would let me try this out. Good Luck with Uno.
