How do you handle a buddy sour horse using join up?

Hello,

We have a buddy sour horse so for join up, he was taken into the round pen while the other horses were in the field by him observing. He easily did join up and still would rather be with the horses, but is way more comfortable being in the round pen alone with us. We have done join up with him about 4-6 times and he is constantly showing us that he trusts us and is willing to work with us. It's a beautiful thing watching a horse think and learn and trust.
