Awesome books to read

Hello! 100 lessons completed 150 lessons completed

Hi Everyone -
I am looking for recommendations of good books to read - I have read all of Monty's:) I have one to pass on to all of you Called the "Eighty-Dollar Champion" by Elizabeth Letts about a horse that was saved from the meat wagon by a Dutch Immigrant. This horse was called Snowman and I think the richness of the show jumping sport can be traced back to him! Have a box of kleenex ready for the end though. His trainer reminded me of Monty. I wonder if they ever bumped into eachother?

Hi EvyG,
What a surprise how a run down horse that was worth nothing to anyone could become such a success.
For me it shows what love and care can do for a horse.
Thank you for posting this.

Hello!

Mark Rashid is a horse trainer and has written some very enjoyable books. His philosophy would be agreeable to anyone who follows Monty. The books are really entertaining.

Hi
miz16 is right, any of Mark Rashid's books are a great read. They aren't instruction books, just observations that he has made about horse behaviour over the years and anecdotes and stories from his own life with horses.
