I have been a member of the MREUni for about two years. I have about 11 years horse experience, mostly with challenginh horses.
I am soon to be enparking on a new adventure to help the BLM with training one of my passions: wild mustangs. Anyone have any advice or experience with working with mustangs?

Oops, hit the wrong button! :-)I have no experience of Mustangs, we don't have them in UK. Further, our semi-feral horses have no natural predator so while their survival instinct is strong it is not in daily demand in the same way that a mustang's is in terms of the risk of being eaten!

I'm sure others on here do have experience and I'm looking forward to hearing their thoughts and to hearing about your progress. Best wishes
HorseCraZ have you been watching Monty's videos on wild horses?
Hi HorseCraz,
That sounds really exciting!
-Number one advice of course is to keep watching Monty's mustang lessons, that are the latest on the Uni right now!
-Number two would be to watch Anna Twinney's dvd's " Whispers from the wild ones,
Mustangs as our master teachers". You might even find some of them on Anna's YouTube channel. Anna Twinney used to be the headinstructor at Monty's farm around the 2000's. After that she founded Reach Out To Horses, which has her personal signature, but still is in the same direction as Monty.
Will you keep us posted on your experiences at the BLM!
Good luck,
Miriam
