I just wanted to ask who will be going to take part at the Monty Roberts Special Training this year, too. It interests me right now who attends and where you are coming from, because I am really looking forward to get to know maybe some members of the Uni.

I'll be there, Jasmin. I'm from OR and have two horses of my own, as well as several that I'm training as a part of my homework for my advanced course. I'm very happy you're able to come over from Germany and look forward to meeting you in August!

Hi Jasmin & Julie,

I will be attenting Special Training 2011, I was there last year and it was such a learing experince and it had an incredible impact on me.

I am from Ontario Canada and this will be my second trip to California this year, I just did the Riding with Respect and Join Up course in May with some people I met last year at Special Training.

I am looking forward to meeting you both and learning more from the master !!!!

It sounds great what you're doing to help the world to become a better place.
I am not that successful until now, I have no own horse and did only work with few horses until now, because (as you know for sure) some owners are not that open to Monty's concepts. But I am working on that point and I will do my Join-Up Course in Germany this year in October.

Only three persons? Is it really only three persons (including myself) from the Uni who are going to take part at the Special Trainig this year? That would be very few people!

Hi folks! I am considering taking the Special Training as an auditor and member of the "0ver 100 lessons" group but really hesitant to travel from Manitoba to California alone...where to stay, transportation to the farm, etc....any suggestions or info? are you all in this group as well?

I am in the 100+ group, too.
I had to look up where Manitoba is - now I know it is in Canada. But I think until now I have the longest jurney from Germany to CA. :)

As I do not know which way you are going to travel, I can't help you! But there are several possibilities of having bed & breakfast in Solvang and Buellton. Maya Horsey sent them to me as I applicated for the Clinic. Let me know if she did not do so in your case. Then I will give you their names. I will stay at Buellton. There I will rent a bike, because it is only two miles to Flag Is Up Farms.

Kicki, where in Sweden do you live? My parents and me will come to Sweden soon. Next Friday we will start our holidays and are situated near Lake Fegen's wildlife sanctuary.
I do also know the webpage of Ann Lindberg, you've already mentioned her name somewhere else in the forum.

I am from Switzerland. The trip would take me more than 24 hours. I think this fact has influenced many Europeans not to participate. What about a Monty Roberts special training in Europe?

Hey Europeans, you may want to check out intelligent horsmanship in the UK, a little closer to home - courses are run by monty trained professionals including Kelly Marks, they are all fabulous teachers and work closely with monty to create the courses - there are various training courses throughout the year, I have done most of them now and they have been the best life changing thing I have ever sone (I am in Scotland UK)
