These lessons on acupuncture have been really interesting and great, but i was confused on the last one as to why he injected hydrochloric acid into the horse? Can someone explain to me what that does and what the point of it is? Thanks! :D

That is a great question. I did a little research and the HCI injection for horses acts as a calming agent and allows the horse to relax without sedation. http://www.drugs.com/vet/xylazine-hcl-injection.html
Cheers
OK guys,
I did extented research on this HCI !!!!!!!
BEWARE Please.....
It is very corosive. It is used in working with steel.
Now if that isn't bad enoungh there are derivatives from it.
HCL is just as bad and so are many more.
We may wonder why our children and ourselves are getting so many diseases, these are just some of the "foods" that HCI is used to make.
Aspartame, fructose, citric acid, lysine, hydrolyzed vegetable protein and gelatin.
Can you imagine, that worldwide these ingredients are allowed in our food !!!!
Never mind injecting it into anything, there is no safe way to make derivatives from it.
Keep healthy and happy,
Ronda
Hi all,
-Xylazine is a sedative, used to relax the horse and its muscles.
- HCL is a corrosive acid, not used on living animals.
I am not a physian, neither am I a vet, but I think these are two different pairs of shoes!
Is there anyone out there that can explain the difference?
Thanks,
Miriam
To Majestic and miriam, don't worry so much about HCl being a dangerous and corrosive acid! Personally, i've had a lot of experience with this acid, and when dilute it is perfectly safe and i respect Dr.Anders for using it, because it works for him and he uses it safely. HCl is only dangerous when it is very concentrated, such as the HCl in your stomach!
Thank you Dennis for the answer and the website! :)
