Hi, I was wondering, are there big diferences between lessons on the Uni and Monty's DVDs, because I bought a dually and watched the DVD that goes with it and as I recall, the videos were the same as on the Uni!! I believe that all those DVDs are super helpful but do Uni members have that lessons already here or there are different videos on those DVDs?
Regards,
Mirna
Hi Mirna,
Since the Uni started, some of its videos were used on dvd format, but most of the things you can buy on dvd are unique for that medium.
If you watch "Gentling your spooky horse" you'll find it covers lessons that were not (yet?) on the Uni, the same goes for "You and your wild horse".
A lot of material was filmed long before the Uni, and still has it's value.
The only dvd that I know of that uses a Uni lessons is the one on "longlining". And ofcourse the one you mentioned, the one that comes with the Dually halter.
Kind regards,
Miriam
I've actually found the DVD's in many ways more helpful than the Uni lessons because they are so comprehensive. The Uni lessons are around 10 minutes each whereas the DVD's are 1 1/2 hours to 3 hours of non stop information. Lots of value in the DVD's, I highly recommend them.
Thank you a lot! Now I know which DVDs would I need :)
Redards,
Mirna
Note also Mustang.girl there are many of Monty's DVDs or parts of them free of charge on 'horseandcountry.tv' UK.
