I know this is supposed to be suggestions for lessons, but I'd like to ask for a lower priced shipping option to places outside of the US for the products. Most things I order online have shipping from the US to Canada for ~$10-15. For me to order the farrier ruler and DVD (which is not heavy or bulky) is $31 shipping. It would really help to have a lower cost option.

Well, its a high price for a ruler for sure, but of course, its the "knowledge" on the CD your paying for. So, if a person knows how to trim up and take the measurement, then with practice you can get the same results using a small carpenter's adjustable square or small combination square as well. I don't mean to say the square has to come from a tiny or midget carpenter, just go to Home Depot and get one...lol..I know, don't quit my day job...these are very inexpensive by the way. Its what I use.
That's a good idea pmpleau! Well, I do really like the ruler. They said they're working on getting lower shipping and can do USPS for $15 with that one, so I think that'll work :)
My vote for cheaper shipping too - I just tried to order a Dually halter with post to Australia, halter was $54 (less with discount), shipping was $79!!!! As I'm 2 hours drive from the nearest horse shop I rely on online purchases to receive stuff. I've had to resort to eBay instead....
Hi Pinkie you can buy them from Edwards Saddlery in Toowoomba Qld. And the postage from there is much less. They are more than happy to take phone orders sorry that I don 't have their phone number on hand at present bu Diectory assistance will give it to you.
Sorry Lenore I know this doesn't help you, but for those of us here in Australia there is a Monty Roberts store in Subiaco. http://www.shop.montyroberts.com.au/ Horseland and Europa Saddlery also will stock some products but you have to pay extra (middle man :( )
Thanks Maggie, I eventually found the Monty Roberts Aus store, and now that I see they're in WA (thanks Denea, next time I'm in Perth will go for a look!) I realise why it turned up so quickly :-)
Lol your welcome
Thanks anyway Denea!
Sorry couldn't be more help Lenore.
Hi Lenore, i made a ruler myself from a cheap plastic, normal one. i used a rotary tool to cut the holes & etch the numbers.
