Found this lovely quote by Karen West on the site of a Scandinavian dressage rider/trainer, Per Waaler, who advocates training with trust and allowing the horse to choose its own way and not fearing negative consequences for not doing what the rider asked for.

He also rides Grand Prix tests on side-pull simply to prove that it can be done. :)
