Yes they vary a lot don't they. Quite difficult when you have multiple horses as you usually need multiple saddles to fit them. My four are all quite different in shape too. Had the saddle fitter back yesterday to re-check their saddles and fittings. I am a bit lucky as two of mine are OK for the same dressage saddle and a different two fit into one of my all purpose saddles but I do have four saddles! Tricka has no wither at all and is very round so needs a wide saddle, Ouyen has a wither but is grossly fat and has to have the extra wide bates saddle which comes with 3 gullets - the medium gullet that was in it when I bought it is perfect for her, Nicky has a high wither but is medium wide while Uggs is my narrowest and he has a good (normal)whither as is medium but fat at present so can use Nicky's dressage saddle too. So I guess you will have to go through the saddle fitting process too and sounds as if you will need two different saddles for your horses.
