This may be a bit of a silly question, but is glue really made from horses? Such as Elmer's Glue?

There is a glue made from animals like cows and horses, they use there similar hoofs to make the glue. I don't know about elmers glue but it would say it on the packet
Horse Addict
No Elmer's is a vinyl based blue. Hoof glue us made from the hoof and other parts of animals that are chopped into small pieces then boiled to make the resin type glue. With all the modern types of glues available I would not think that there is a great demand for hoof glue
You are safe in using Elmer's and super glue and rubber cement etc.
Cheers
thanks guys, that was a relief!
Ok Here goes, Since this is under the Topic "Survey" I will give my Opinion.
When a Horse has passed away (dead) It does not matter if we make glue from it's Hooves. If we do not utilize the Carcass we are being wasteful.
I am not interested in discussing Slaughter Houses or Kill Buyers. There are other forums on the internet for that.
To me this Forum is a place to Build upon Monty's Lessons. A Place to come together to Learn to be a Compassionate, Responsible Horse Person.
