Hyja try Hoof oil or Hoof grees
Cheers Joey
My stablemate had this problem for years with her horse until she got hold of a woman who treated the coronet with IR a couple of times and in between the area was massaged and applied with a vet. cream the name of which I am very uncertain. (French sounding that would twist your tongue and came in a red can. Not Cosequin but similar. - I can look it up if you are interested.)
Anyway, over the course of a winter the cracks stopped forming and hasn't appeared again.
Look up "kicking rings" in Monty's From My Hands to Yours book! They are a ring your horse can wear with the dual purpose of discouraging kicking and also massaging the coronet and promoting healthy hooves! :-)
I use Kevin bacon hoof greese on my boy who has dry brittle feet. That has helped him (his was down to neglect and very poor diet though). What does your farrier suggest?
Maybe look at her nutrition, health comes from within and could be affecting her feet
I agree with Amber.
Best Results are Achieved With Reliable Supplement Made for Your Local Area. My area is Deficient in Selenium.
You can also make a Big Difference by adding Biotin it the diet. What you will notice most is the Hoof Grows out faster and Stronger then before.
One more thing that causes many Problems is Stress. Stress is come in many forms. You have to be a Detective to find out what is stressing your horse.
