My Join-Up® Experience

Epic Fail advice please

I am 11 and I did join-up with my horse nova with awesome results. I tried to Join-Up with my other horse who is older. Her name is Star.She ran in a couple of circles and then slowed down tail high in the air and snorting really loud. Then finally she just stopped and looked at me like I was stupid. Her circles were getting smaller and smaller like she was trying to trap me at the fence. We bought the long lead line Monty uses in the video. I swung the line at her it even lightly touches her hindquarters but she wouldn't budge. You should know we don't have a round pen just a small corral and the other two horses I have were at the fence line watching. We have no other place to put the other two horses and I feel I was doing something wrong.
