When I asked Monty during my stay on Flag is Up Farms on the "special training" in 2006 which was his prefered discipline in competitions hes said:"Cutting, because the horses do it all by themselves". Knowing that I could tell more than many others how much fun he must have teaching these lessons and it is just a great pleasure to watch him riding that discipline. I am having so much fun!!! I cannot wait to finally learn about the Guinea Henne who substitutes a cow in the training. Is anybody out there how has trained other breeds but a QH to be a good cutting horse ? VioBerlin

The quarter horse is perhaps the best because they have the body for it ,massive strong hocks, power packed, and wide chests.Amazing to watch them work.I have seen Hispano/Anglo/Arab crosses doing similar movements when working with bulls. But they don't go deep into their changes the way the QH does.Interesting question anyway VioBerlin. :)
