Hey y'all, I'm not sure if this question belongs in this section of the form but I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a specific age limit to go to California and take classes in person on Flag is Up Farm. I have discussed this with my mom and we both think it's 18. Does any one also know if you have to have a college degree or of any sorts, of course of high school degree if the age limit is 18. Thanks

Hi Syd,
your first question can be ask by this:
"Are there age restrictions on the classes?
This depends on the class, please contact us to discuss it. Students under 18 years of age must be dropped off and picked up each day by a parent/guardian. The guardian may be present during all practical components of the class, if they wish. The guardian will not be required to pay to supervise in this way. If the guardian wishes to be present during the theoretical part of the class, they must pay 30% of the full price."
I took this from the FAQ'S section of the
Monty Roberts International Learning Center web site.
You can go and check all the other informations!
have a good day!
oh I wish I lived in America!! I've done 1 course here in the UK but have to weit until I'm 18 for the rest. I'm 13 now... five whole years! at least I have this anyway!
Age is not my problem in this case, but geography is.
I have a dream I will be able to spend a vacation in America and be able to at least pay a visit to Flag is Up farm.
I just spent a week at Monty's Special Training and I can say that it was awesome. I'd wanted to go for so long, and I made the trip from Colorado. Keep your dream alive and someday you'll get there! Monty is a wonderful teacher. Good luck!!
I would like to go someday. However, I am not so young. Perhaps I can send one of my daughters one day. I live in the U.S. but California is far from here. Also, we would have to save to be able to afford it. Even older folks cand dream!
Hey Amy (aka GoGo Boots)! Hope all is well with you. You tried Join Up with your horse?
I also attended the 'Special Training' course. I traveled from England and it was the best decision I ever made :-) When you able to travel I would strongly suggest you attend, Monty is such a great teacher, and very inspiring!
There are many certified Instructors around the world who have trained with Monty; I assume the course you attended was with Kelly Marks?
Good Luck :-)
yay for being 18, (even if my lovely sisters/ brother tell me I'm on the way to being oldd... charming family I have!).
I'm really hoping to go do a few of the courses with Kelly marks next summer. My absolute dream would to eventually be a recommended associate but will have to wait and see if I'll ever be good enough!
I'd really love to visit flag is up farm one day, will have to keep saving and dreaming. :) Really hope you get there too :D
