Hi Lorraine! I live in Dawson Creek, BC about an hour from the Alberta border. Good to know I'm not the only Canuck here! :D
Hi, I live in Prince Albert SK, moved about 18 months ago from UK.
Hello from Alberta :)
Great! Hi everyone, thanks for responding. I'm on here sporadically, but would like to stay in contact. If you'd like to stay in touch too, email me at tranquillefarms@gmail.com
Have any of you taken the MR courses? The Uni lessons are great, lots to learn.
Hello from Barrie Ontario :)
Howdy from Manitoba! Monty Roberts has changed my life with horses, good to know there are like-minded Canadians on the uni!
What about Québec?
Hey all, I am from Maine but have had several Canadian students come down for courses. Also I am planning on a few clinics or demos possibly in Quebec and one in Cape Breton Island. Let me know if any of you want to get together for a clinic or demo.
Anyone in the Advanced Course? Great to get this response.
Amanda, do you ever come out west? I looked where you are and it's just too far to manage for me. I was going to inquire if you're ever looking for help. I'd love to host a clinic or demo in my area.
Lorraine, would love to connect with you on a clinic or demo in your area. Send me am email when you get a chance and we can chat about specifics. My email is amandaeveratt@gmail.com. Look forward to hearing from you.
If you plan on giving some clinicsor demos in Québec, I would be very interested.
From East Central Alberta.
Hello Stephen, I heard of another student in your area...Jason? They raise/sell Paints. I don't think he's continuing though. He did the lesson with Monty on Join Up in the Pasture.
Oops, actually, it was catching your horse in the pasture:)
That's interesting. I wonder what his last name was?

Cooper, just remembered.
I found their ranch: Smokey Hills Paints and Quarters, located in Major, Saskatchewan.
Anyone else from ontario want to get in contact?

I'd love to meet other like-minded people in my area (GTA)!
Salut! From Bromont Québec!!
Pleased to see so many Canadians eh? Here in Ontario - I have taken the intro Course in California and planning for the time, budget and experience to return for the next phase.
Hello, I'm in Smithers, BC.
Hi Amanda, this is wonderful. I moved to PEI five years ago from Alberta and would love to see a show if you will do one on Cape Breton. I am in my later years of riding and have seen Monty Roberts some years ago in Edmonton. Now I am enjoying my Icelandic and started to train him in driving. He is doing great with the help of lots of Monty's advice and uni lessons. I hope to hear from you when you come to this part of the country . Hiltrud
Hello I'm Carla from Yellowknife Northwest Territories and yes we have horses up here!!!
I have taken the longlining and join up courses offered and i just completed and passed the Intro certification course, all at Flag Is Up Farms. I'm hoping to take the Advanced Course in 2014.
Happy to link up with other Canadians and would love the opportunity to work with others given that there is a limited number of horses here. I have a good friend and Monty student that i visit in California to practice etc. but certainly would be interested in collaborating with folks in Canada.
Fyi in Yellowknife we happen to have a vet who moved from Poland decades ago. He has a number of warm bloods, runs programs with school horses - hunter/jumper dressage etc. Horses - approximately 20 cover warmbloods, percheron/andelusian mixes, icelandic ponies, fresians, quarter horses etc.
Hi All,
Great to see the Canucks speaking up,I knew you were out there somewhere. I took the Intro Course in June this year, with Courtney. An experience of a lifetime. She is a great instructor, lots of fun. Monty was there most of the time and we got to see him work with a very, very remedial stallion and Maya had 4 yr. old TB stallion who had no manners whatsoever, not mean but no discipline. It was amazing to see what Join-up can do in such a short time and of course to be there on the side of the round pen and see it minute by minute and to see how Monty can read the horses. He could tell a lot about the issues that this stallion had and how he had been mishandled by his trainers. The stallion that Maya worked with was big and strong and rude. Her ability to have him Join up and his behavior soften was a sight to behold.
After 30 years with horses, it was a learning experience to understand the psychology behind how horses comprehend and interpret the world around them, as well as how we can so easily and calmly Join up with them and work to create "a partner"
I am south of Ottawa,e-mail lyndachesterville@live.ca for anyone to just talk "horse"

Hi! I'm Marg also in Saskatchewan-Yorkton area --crazy! I came from England (many years ago) and lived in the Prince Albert area for 20 years--small world! I joined The Uni a few hours ago. I've had horse on and off most of my life but never had the confidence and trust in my equine partners. Hard to do a join-up in the winter here. What is everybody doing with their horse without an indoor arena?
Hi! I'm Valerie from Paradise, NL! I own a quarter horse paint named Apache. Hello, fellow Canadians! I am lucky that the barn where I board Apache does have an indoor arena so I get to take lessons and ride quite frequently.
