Can anyone voice their opinion on Bowe's concepts on shoeing a horse?

Thanks for asking this question. I have never heard of him so I did a Google search. He advocates barefoot horse care and presents all the benefits of having your horse barefoot.
I have a Peruvian Paso and they are always barefoot. You cannot show aPeruvian Paso with shoes. It is against the rules. As long as the farrier maintains the proper angles of the hoof I really recommend going barefoot. The horse is happier his feet are happier and if you need to go into rough country and are afraid that the horses hoof may suffer there are plenty of "overboots" that protect the hoof. Just make sure that the boot is fitted correctly and it does not rub on the pastern or coronet band
Cheers
Hello Horse Addict
.
Yes, I like barefoot. We don't shoe unless we absolutely have to. We have one horse who has very soft feet and we tried to leave him barefoot once, which was not good for him. I have started him on Biotin suppliments now to improve the condition of his feet. Apparently it takes about a year for full improvement to be seen, so it will be interesting to see how he goes.

All of our other horses have great feet and are barefoot and we will keep them that way for as long as possible :-)

See you later,
