Has anyone had trouble with the volume on the "Access All Areas" lesson or is it just my computer?

I have not had any problems, too. Maybe it was just a problem of overstress in the internet. Just try it again in a few days. If it doesn't work you should try it with youtube videos, too. Then you will see that it is not a problem of the Uni, but of your computer. Good luck!
