A very good lesson this week, and also quite funny! Bruce couldn't figure out what the person behind him wanted. He's encouraged to go forward and he backs up a couple times lol! He gets the hang of it eventually when Monty stepped in.

What a character - a big, gentle giant. You could see him trying to figure things out, he seems like a lovely horse to work with and very forgiving of mistakes.

This last one was even funnier! Lol!
Rode a clydesdale/quarter horse cross a few weeks ago across country and she was great - big and powerful but gentle. Used to have a clydesdale/tb cross as a showjumper many years ago and he was the same - nothing fazed him and very gentle. He lived his years out on a clydesdale stud accoasionally riding around the farm to check the fences. They are really lovely animals. Jan
I rode a big draft horse once. He was very gentle, and small for his size so he was able to be used as a riding horse.
Funny! The Umbrella rider was my favorite part, especially when Martin took a picture.. . This Lesson was a Breath of Fresh Air. Started a Percheron Gelding once. He was so laid back, it was a lot of fun.
This lesson also reminded me of the Percheron Team I was taught to plow with. It is interesting to watch the young ones being started.
